The Super Bowl is an event that captures the nation’s attention every year because football fan or not, there’s no shortage of entertainment. From the pre-show festivities to the incredible and show-stopping halftime performances from some of the biggest names in music, the host city transforms into a mecca for celebrities, athletes, and fans alike.
In the pantheon of musical performances, some of the most memorable have been during the Big Game’s halftime show. Can anyone forget Prince’s iconic performance? Or last year when Lady Gaga literally jumped off the roof of the stadium? How about that time Destiny’s Child made their brief reunion on stage. We’ve also had the pleasure to see some incredible collaborations during these halftime shows, like when Aerosmith brought out N’SYNC, Britney Spears, Nelly AND Mary J. Blige in 2001.
This year’s halftime show headliner is Justin Timberlake. No stranger to halftime shows (queue the video of the last time Justin Timberlake graced the stage and sang with the epochal Janet Jackson), Justin strategically planned the release of two new songs from his anticipated new album prior to the main event. But with so many hits over his illustrious career, what songs will he choose to perform? Using our own Pandora listener data, our friends at Next Big Sound did some analyzing to try to predict his setlist. See our predictions here.
Who are JT’s most loyal fans? We analyzed Justin’s music on Pandora to get a better sense of who is listening to his music and how advertisers can best reach this engaged audience. Check out our infographic below.
